YGG, Solana Ventures Ally to Develop Blockchain Gaming in SE Asia

The investment arm of Solana Labs, Solana Ventures, has partnered with decentralized gaming startup Yield Guild Games (YGG) to supercharge game development in South East Asia. Solana Ventures Invests $500,000 in YGG SEA According to an official announcement, Yield Guild Games Southeast Asia (YGG SEA), the first subDAO of Yield Guild Games (YGG), has formed a new partnership with Solana Ventures, the investment arm of Solana Labs. The partnership is also part of a $500,000 private investment round co-led by Solana Ventures for YGG SEA. It comes just a few days after YGG SEA also secured $15 million across two different private funding rounds. The proceeds of the funding will be utilized to provide the necessary resources and accelerate game development and product launches in Southeast Asia, a region with a huge gaming community. Bolstering GameFi in South East Asia Solana’s partnership with YGG SEA is a critical step toward its ultimate goal to expand in the region as Southeast Asia’s gaming community is an integral part of the global video game industry. It is estimated that South East Asia has about 25 million e-sport and gaming fans.
