Crypto intelligence startup Messari explores fundraise at $300M valuation - report

Messari, a cryptocurrency-focused intelligence platform, was said to plan to raise $35M in financing at a $300M valuation despite an ongoing market slump, The Block reported Tuesday, citing two people with knowledge on the matter.The potential move would come after last year's $21M Series A funding led by hedge fund billionaire Steve Cohen's Point72 Ventures.Messari declined to comment on the plans until it has more news to share. But Ryan Selkis, the company's CEO, said via Twitter that "we’ve scaled to 130 people on zero net-operating burn, had a record July, and are hiring $35mm worth of developers to help bring transparency and an institutional-grade data tool to the crypto market."In the beginning of August, Messari expanded its product offerings through the acquisition of Dove Metrics of Blackrose Capital.
