Governments have been quite combative on cryptos and the blockchain world for the most part. Some like China have made outright bans on cryptos to promote their own central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). But things haven’t been so grim between cryptos and many other governments. Some pro crypto presidents have been quite supportive of digital currencies and fully believe in their potential to revolutionize the global economy. They are- Nayib Bukele Perhaps no president has supported Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as much as the young and energetic president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele. He’s going as far as pushing for Bitcoin’s adoption by other emerging countries, which shows how much of a supporter of the coin he is. He did so at the Alliance of Financial Inclusion (AFI), promoting its adoption to 32 central banks and 12 financial officials. He saw Bitcoin as the perfect solution to his country’s financial woes back home. El Salvador became the world’s first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender officially.
