Citigroup to hire 100 staffers to accelerate blockchain, crypto division - CoinDesk

Citigroup (NYSE:C) hires 100 people to advance its blockchain and digital assets division, a person familiar with the matter told CoinDesk. In addition, Citi (C) makes Puneet Singhvi, the head of blockchain and digital assets for the bank's Global Markets team, head of digital assets for the institutional clients group starting on Dec. 1 of this year, according to a company memo shared with CoinDesk. Singhvi will report to the Head of Business Development for the Institutional Clients Group at Citi (C), Emily Turner and; Shobhit Maini and Vasant Viswanathan will serve as co-heads of blockchain and digital assets for Global Markets, CoinDesk notes.
