FIFA, the world’s governing body of soccer, has announced it will introduce an NFT platform for digital collectibles with soccer themes in the months leading up to the 2022 World Cup. According to the press release, FIFA will also reportedly capitalize on significant in-game moments and connect them with “art and images.” The platform, which aims to be “cheap, inclusive, and accessible to all football fans,” is anticipated to launch later in September.
